Son Hasat / The Reeds Will Make It's National Premiere in Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival.

Son Hasat / The Reeds, is set to make its national premiere at the  60th Antalya Golden Orange Film Festival. The event will take place between October 7th and October 14th, 2023, marking a significant milestone in the history of Turkish cinema.

"The Reeds" has been selected as one of the ten outstanding films to compete in the National Feature Film Competition at this landmark edition of the festival. The esteemed actress Demet Akbağ will serve as the Head of the Jury for this year's competition.

"The Reeds" is a co-production with TRT Sinema and was developed during TRT's 12 Punto Script Days and EAVE Producers workshop. Supported by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey and the Bulgarian National Film Center, the film was shot in Afyon in 2022. Post-production work for the film was finalized in Sofia in 2023.

The Reeds delves into the captivating story of a young man named Ali, portrayed by the talented Hilmi Ahıska, a resident of a small Anatolian town who earns his living through reed harvesting, against the oppression of local gangs.
